The start of Ruya Sticky Masala Chai dates back five years when our owner Marije Kleverlaan brought her dream to life: Creating a beautiful homemade chai using premium quality ingredients. Being environmentally and health conscious, Marije sources ingredients ethically and where possible locally. She creates the perfect blend with each chai boasting unique health benefits that contribute to overall digestive well-being.
Marije is a regular at the Bellingen markets, where she sells Ruya Sticky Chai.

Because of our love for sticky masala chai, we embarked on the journey to create our own distinctive blend: Ruya Chai. We prepare each batch of chai with love and care at our home in the Bellingen Shire. The handmade process not only ensures quality but also the authenticity of our flavours that defines the essence of Ruya Chai.
Our homemade blends are a true labour of love from our hearth to yours.

Generously infused with aromatic spices, our sticky chai is crafted by using certified quality organic spices and black tea.
This unique blend undergoes an extended marination process. We immerse it in the richness of local raw and wild honey or coconut nectar for a truly distinctive flavour.

We have a deep appreciation for Mother Nature and consider it our core responsibility to safeguard and nurture her. Our eco-conscious approach extends to the organic and locally sourced ingredients to the packaging we use, which is designed to be home compostable.
